Virat Kohli on Bengaluru Stampede on June 4, during RCB's IPL victory parade in Bengaluru, a stampede broke out due to the arrival of a large number of fans, due to which 11 people died. Now, after three months, a statement of RCB star player Virat Kohli has come out in this matter.
The joy that followed Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) first trophy win of IPL 2025 turned into mourning within hours. On June 4, 11 people died and many were injured in a stampede during celebrations outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
After remaining silent for nearly three months following the tragic incident, former RCB captain Virat Kohli has broken his silence for the first time.
Actually, RCB has shared the statement of Virat Kohli on its x and Instagram account, in which it was written, "Sometimes in life there are moments for which you are not at all prepared. June 4 was one such day. What should have been the happiest day for our franchise turned into a tragic one. My prayers go out to all the families who lost their loved ones and to the fans who were injured. Your pain is now part of our story. We will all move forward together and be more sensitive and responsible than ever before."

Earlier, RCB had announced last month that under the 'RCB Cares' initiative, financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh will be given to each family of those who lost their lives in the accident.
A judicial inquiry was also ordered in this case, after which no international match has been played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru till now. At the same time, it was decided to hold the matches of the Women's ODI World Cup 2025 at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
